Cilliers Auctioneers was established in 2014 as a department of Cilliers & Associates. Cilliers Auctioneers specialises in the selling of immovable property within Insolvent Estates, Sequestrations and Liquidations. The department was established to focus primarily on a “out of hand” sales approach rather than a Physical Auction regarding any Insolvent Estate as such. This specific focus coincides with the ongoing approach by most Trustees / Creditors to obtain the best possible offer for any immovable property within a given marketing period as stipulated by the appointed Trustee / Creditor.

Johan Cilliers is the acting Principal of Cilliers & Associates. He is an attorney at law and is registered with the Legal Practice Council. Johan Cilliers has been practicing as an attorney since 2004. Heinz Kruger, a qualified Auctioneer by trade, is the acting Head of Operations Insolvencies. He has been a fulltime Auctioneer since 2001 and worked for numerous Auctioneering firms. He is assisted by a team of experienced and newly appointed candidate Consultants with a network that spans the whole of South Africa. He is assisted by Jolinde Kruger [Qualified PP Mentor & Head of Private Sales and Developments], Zelda Ferreira [Candidate PP & Consultant], Rupert Opperman [Expert in Insolvent Estates/Law, Candidate PP & Consultant], Danie Dreyer [Candidate PP & Consultant], Mark Engelbrecht [Digital Platforms & Webmaster]  and Mpho Makhado [Qualified PP & Consultant]. Teresa Welthagen spearheads the Private Sales Department alongside Jolinde Kruger.

Cilliers Auctioneers launched Cilliers Auctioneers Private Properties & Developments in January 2024 to assist SELLERS that need their properties sold as fast as possible. Also to accommodate Developers.

The specific aim of Cilliers Auctioneers Private Properties operates with the motto: “WE NEGOTIATE DEALS” in mind. The high demand of private owners wanting Cilliers Auctioneers to “auction” their homes privately led to this route. High advertising costs, reserve prices and an uncertain property market restricts a positive outcome for any “private auction.” Our alternative is to accommodate any private seller to list a property with us whereby we broker or “NEGOTIATE” the best possible deal for the seller via our network of buyers and area specific media platforms. Hence:  “WE NEGOTIATE DEALS” taking the “MISSION” out of “COMMISSION.” We try our utmost to keep remuneration/commission to the bare minimum.
